Latest Transfer News and Rumors from Europe’s Top Leagues

Manchester United are reportedly looking to bolster their defensive options in January, with Fulham full-back Antonee Robinson on their radar. The Red Devils are in search of a long-term replacement for the injury-prone Luke Shaw. Robinson, who has been in fine form for Fulham, is valued at £30m. AC Milan and Manchester City are also said to be interested in the 27-year-old defender, who signed a new five-year contract last summer.

Chelsea are considering loan offers for young forward Deivid Washington, despite rejecting approaches on deadline day. The Blues see Washington as a key part of their future plans but are open to a loan move. The 19-year-old Brazilian has only played twice for Chelsea since joining from Santos and has attracted interest from several Portuguese clubs.

RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan is on the verge of completing a €40 million move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. The 24-year-old has signed a five-year deal with Al Nassr and underwent a medical in Berlin. Simakan is expected to earn €15m annually at his new club, where he will join former France Under-21 teammate Romain Saïss.

AS Roma defender Chris Smalling is in advanced talks to join Saudi Pro League side Al Fayha. The former Manchester United center back is close to sealing a move to Saudi Arabia, with only a few details left to be finalized. Roma are reportedly prepared to pursue Mats Hummels as a replacement for the 34-year-old Smalling.

Roma have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign free agent Mario Hermoso ahead of Galatasaray. The former Atletico Madrid defender is said to be close to agreeing on a three-year deal with the Serie A club. Hermoso, who left Atletico this summer, looks set to join Roma after negotiations over terms have progressed positively.

Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal has reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo for a fee of €40m. The 21-year-old, who is set to undergo medical tests in Paris, has impressed with his performances for Benfica, scoring eight goals in 17 league appearances. Leonardo is expected to earn around €5m per year at Al Hilal, with additional add-ons included in his contract.

Aston Villa’s young Colombian striker Jhon Durán was reportedly the subject of late loan offers from Chelsea and West Ham United on deadline day. However, both offers were swiftly rebuffed by Villa, who were unwilling to let the 20-year-old leave without securing a replacement. Durán has been linked with a Villa exit throughout the summer transfer window but remains at the club due to the lack of suitable offers meeting their £40m valuation.

Overall, the transfer market continues to be active even after the closure of the main window, with clubs looking to strengthen their squads and offload surplus players. As the January transfer window approaches, expect more rumors and deals to emerge as teams across Europe assess their needs and targets for the upcoming season.
